My friend Danielle wanted a one on one painting class with me so she came to the Artists Studio and Gallery at Patriot Place when I was working a few weekends ago. She picked out this image because she is from Michigan and loves lighthouses. We actually zoomed in on her picture so the lighthouse got cropped out, but this was a great start. Above is my version of the small practice demo we painted together.
Her painting came out great, and here is a photo she took of it:

It's easier to say hello than goodbye...
This is a familiar sign on Cape Cod, "Entering Wellfleet". It's amazing that it was established in 1763 and yet it has retained its pristine and beautiful feel. I sure wish I was there right now.
is an award winning artist who paints exclusively with a palette knife. She holds a fine art degree and has worked as a professional graphic designer for many years. She began painting in oil again after taking a palette knife workshop through the Copley Society of Art in Boston and was immediately hooked. The thick, painterly, yet highly detailed strokes of color are trademarks of her style.
