The Grande Mermaid

While on a family vacation in Florida over the holidays, my sisters and I sculpted a mermaid out of sand on the beach where we were staying. The house we rented was called Grande Mer, so of course she became The Grande Mermaid. It was so much fun, especially designing her jewelry and adding "shell bling" to her tail. And the seaweed made for the perfect hairdo.

Then, it was fascinating to watch as the waves slowly smoothed her out and the ocean took her back. My sister started making a mermaid on every beach she visits. I may have to start doing the same. It is an artform in and of itself!

Les sirènes charment souvent les marins pour mieux les engloutir dans les flots... Ici ce sont les flots qui viennent noyer la sirène...
Elle est bien belle votre sirène ... Bisous
