Oil with a palette knife on Ampersand Gessobord SOLD
Summer is my favorite time of year, and this is one of my favorite summer places. If this looks familiar, it is because I've painted this scene many, many times. Almost too many to count. At this smaller size, this is the fourth time. I like this smaller size because it works up quickly and I can't get detailed with the knife at all.
Oil with a palette knife of Blick Studio Artist Board SOLD
Kevin saw the first painting I had done of the "Entering Provincetown" sign hanging at The Red Inn with a SOLD sign on it and asked if I could paint another one for him. As a special request, he asked if there was someway I could include his dog, Henry into the painting. You can't really seem him from this far away, but if you look very, very closely in the lower left hand corner, I painted a loose interpretation of tiny Henry hanging out int the dunes.
is an award winning artist who paints exclusively with a palette knife. She holds a fine art degree and has worked as a professional graphic designer for many years. She began painting in oil again after taking a palette knife workshop through the Copley Society of Art in Boston and was immediately hooked. The thick, painterly, yet highly detailed strokes of color are trademarks of her style.
