My friend Bill send me the photo I used as inspiration for this painting. He was at his friend's house that is up on a hill overlooking the Red Inn and Commercial Street in Provincetown. I loved how the evening lights lit up the inn and the surrounding area while the moon lit up the water.

The inspiration for this painting was a winter walk we took while in Plymouth, Massachusetts. There is a beautiful beach called Long Beach that is easier to access and park in the winter than in the summer due to the crowds and parking restrictions. I loved the hit of sun that was hitting on the edge of the dunes and how it lit up the grasses. So pretty.

Spending the day in Newport Rhode Island provides a wealth of inspiration for an artist. This little gem was inspired by a couple of boats I saw docked at Bannister's Wharf. This image had a lot of detail for such a small space. What was I thinking?
