The Red Inn 12 : : A New Perspective

The Red Inn XII
Oil with a palette knife on Ampersand Gessobord
12" x 36" x 2"
SOLD

For Number 12 in the series of Red Inn paintings, I took a slightly different perspective than the previous 11 versions. I decided to focus more on the beautiful gardens and the flowers so the fence and the road take on less of an important role in the composition. Painting all of those greens was challenging but adding all the bits of yellow, orange, and red for the flowers was really satisfying. I even included the tiny statue dedicated to the memory of a very dear friend of the inn, Reenie, on the left hand side.

My favorite assemblages

Last July, Polo and I had an assemblage art show that we call "Awesomeblage." I realized I never posted some of my favorites. These were so much fun and many have found new homes. Can you tell what items were used for each piece?
