My good friend Wendy asked me to do this painting of her parents Kenneth and Vivien, otherwise known as KenVi (a la Branjelina, Bennifer, etc ). You may remember I did a painting of Wendy and her new husband on their
honeymoon in Spain a few months ago. This photo of KenVi was taken at Wendy's wedding last summer where I had the pleasure of spending the time getting to know them better. Such a warm and generous couple of folks. Her family is meeting up in Florida this weekend and Wendy plans to surprise her parents with this portrait. I am jealous of the warm weather they will be enjoying. Is summer here yet?

Gosh Ann! This is a fabulous portrait and a most wonderful gift! I cannot tell you how awed I am by the amount of detail you manage with a palette knife. I'd never seen palette knife paintings before finding your blog and I am still awed by your abilities. Each piece is gorgeous. I love the nostalgic feel to some of your pieces too. This portrait just rings and shines the importance of family.
absolutely wonderful! i'm sure they will LOVE it!
How wonderful to finally "meet" Wendy's parents after hearing about them for so long. This is a beautiful portrait. They're going to be thrilled!–Carol
Hi Ann, Thank you for visiting my blog, your kind comments and for introducing me to your blog. I think we must be kindred spirits. Excellent work, I will be back to see more. ( Nice job on the Mary Cassatt - she is one of my favourites).
