A BIT ABOUT ME
- Ann Gorbett
- is an award winning artist who paints exclusively with a palette knife. She holds a fine art degree and has worked as a professional graphic designer for many years. She began painting in oil again after taking a palette knife workshop through the Copley Society of Art in Boston and was immediately hooked. The thick, painterly, yet highly detailed strokes of color are trademarks of her style.

This little girl in a chequered jumper, definitely seems to me to be quite ardently admiring her fathers work, she could be quite shy too, its a good sketch.
I am so touched that you sketched this scene. My uncle was my hero, my idol and someone I wanted to be like from a very young age. I feel that you captured that in you sketch.
My uncle was a well known artist, a wonderful draftsman (pen/ink, graphite, chalk) and a painter, mostly oil. He died a year ago at the age of 89. His name was Kjartan Gudjonsson and he was like a father to me.
