A study in sepia tones

It's amazing how rusty you can get when you don't paint for awhile. I decided that perhaps this study in sepia tones might be a good transition back. Haydi gave me a copy of this great old photo that she thought would be a fun palette knife painting, and it was. I was having fun mixing colors to get a variety of values and tones. Despite the monochromatic look, I used many different colors to get these tones. So many I don't think I even remember them all!
