Fur Person

Fur Person
6" x 6"
Oil with a palette knife on panel
SOLD

When I was a teenager and obsessed with cats, my mother gave me a book for my birthday called The Fur Person by May Sarton. I still have the book and this cat reminds me of the cat shown on the cover. It is a wonderful story told through the eyes of a cat about life with humans. I don't remember all the details about the book except that I LOVED it at the time. I should probably go back and read it again to see what my teenage brain was so obsessed with.

Another absolutely purrfect and oh so beautiful kitty painting! Again, the eyes are standout gorgeous, Ann! I love seeing your palette on this one because I am going to attempt to use a palette knife on my next piece. Not wholly palette knife, but mostly. My palette will be white and black and all variations in between. And now I want to read that book too! Bet you anything I won't remember the title next time I head to the library though. Speaking of which, just since working full-time, I am not getting to the library much at all! Dang it!

Kitty!
I'm STILL obsessed with cats. It didn't pass with childhood.
