Paddle Board Dog

Sean and Oliver
11" x 14"
Oil with a palette knife on board

This was another commission I painted of Oliver (see previous post by clicking here). This time with his owner Sean on a paddle board in Provincetown harbor. I painted this during the summer but was waiting to post it until the recipient received it as a surprise gift from his friend.

Here is the beautiful setting I was enjoying while painting it. Ahhh, I miss summer already.

And here is my painting set up on the patio.

And just for fun, since it's Halloween time, I have to share some funny photos of Oliver in various forms of costume that Sean made him wear over the years. So cute.

Nubble Light in Winter, again

Nubble Light in Winter II
8" x 10"
Oil with a palette knife on Blick Studio Artist Board

I am getting ready for a Holiday Show and Sale at Zullo Art Gallery in Medfield. This is the first of a few new paintings I've done for the show. While I am not ready for winter just yet, I can deal with a beautiful light coating of snow on this very pretty scene in York, Maine.

A beach wedding flower arrangements

While on Nantucket, Haydi took us to the Nantucket Yacht Club where they had been setting up for a wedding. She wanted us to see these beautiful flower arrangements that the mother of the bride had made. But look closer, they are all made from shells she collected on the beaches of Nantucket. So astoundingly creative and artistically crafted. They greatly appealed to my assemblage side. Have a closer look...
