I have to go back and check how many times I have painted this sign. I think it has to be about 5 by now. This Memorial Day weekend marks the official start to summer and this painting sure is a sign that summer has started!

Cap'n Jack's Wharf panorama

Cap'n Jack's Wharf panorama
12" x 36" x 2"
Oil with a palette knife on cradled Ampersand Gessobord
SOLD

During our last visit to Provincetown to drop off paintings at the red inn, I took the photos I used as inspiration for this painting. This is a view of Cap'n Jack's Wharf down the beach aways from a parking lot of all places. I hope to get this painting down to the inn this weekend for sale. The weather is warming up and summer is on the way, YAY!

Here is a close up:

Summer on Commercial Street in Provincetown

A Banner Day
11" x 14" x 1.5"
Oil with a palette knife on cradled board
SOLD

If you've ever been to Provincetown on Cape Cod in the middle of summer, this scene will look very familiar to you. People, cyclists, and cars going this way and that, strolling up and down looking for the perfect souvenir or place to eat. You can see Governor Bradford's, The Lobster Pot, and The Patio in this painting, all great places to enjoy a summer meal.
