Captain Jack's Wharf Lights

CJW Lights

Approx 8 x 14

Oil with palette knives on board

This is an iconic place in Provincetown that I have painted several times. This time, I wanted to include the fun colorful lights they often have displayed along the water.

I am preparing for the opening of the red inn in April by painting several scenes that continue to inspire me as a painter.

A boy and his dog

Max and Oliver

12" x 12"

My good friend Susan asked if I would paint a couple of portraits of her son and their dog. This first one is from when they were very young. I love how they are all cozied up in the chair together. There was a lot going on in the photo, I toned down some of the patterns slightly to direct the focus more on their cute faces.

A California Fires Rescue

Sadie 2

10 x 10

Oil with palette knives on board

I painted a portrait of Sadie almost 10 years ago for Callie who gifted it to her friend, Rachel. Callie contacted me a last month to ask if I would paint it again because her friend lost her home and all her belongings in the LA fires. Rachel told her that one of the things she was most heartbroken to lose was her painting of Sadie. I completed this replacement commission as a gift to her friend hoping that it brings a just a little comfort in a such a devastating situation.

Last fall, we had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful place in Provincetown on Cape Cod. These cute cottages, all unique, are located right on the water so each day you walk up to a beautiful sunrise over the ocean. What could be better?

Bobby and Mary asked if I would paint this for their grandson Logan who recently was the MVP at the soccer state championship game in Farmington Connecticut. The pure joy on all of these boys faces is just so fun. Congratulations to Logan and Farmington High School.

Another pet portrait for Cheryl. These are her brother's two yorkies who are no longer with us so she wanted to give him a painting as a special reminder of his two pals that he and his kids miss very much. Don't they look so cute all cozied up with their blanky in their bed?

Kim saw my Entering Sign paintings on Instagram and contacted me about painting some signs for Rhode Island towns. She owns The Charlestown Gallery in Charlestown Rhode Island, and thought they would be a good addition to her offerings. I painted these 3 towns initially and we'll see how they do.
