Historic Haven

Sunkissed

9" x 12"

Oil with palette knives on board

A stroll around Newport Rhode Island inspired this painting. There are so many historic little streets that pretty much any one I go down can inspire a new painting. I just love the colors and the character of these old homes, most from the late 1600s to the 1800s. What stories they could tell!

Most of the paintings in my little Bostons series were recently sold at the Gallery Twist show called "Memories". A couple of the visitors to the exhibit saw the paintings had red dots on them and asked if I could recreated them for their collection. These 3 paintings are a result of that request.

New diptych commission

Storm Over The Red Inn

12 x 12 each

Oil with palette knives on board

An employee who worked for the red inn in Provincetown took the images that inspired this painting. He captured an incredible storm as it blew over the harbor heading right for the inn. David asked if I would paint this as a diptych to add to his collection.

Here are images that show what each side looks like as a stand alone painting.

This painting marks the 66th painting I have done of the red inn in Provincetown.
