If you stroll down Commercial Street in Provincetown on Cape Cod, you can peak down the alleys and side roads to see quaint scenes like this one. I captured this scene just after a rainy day in April and challenged myself to include the signs, and architectural details, not to mention the challenge of painting the puddles as well.

Last year, we enjoyed a delicious dinner at the restaurant on the right side called Grand Central. What a fun place.

We had the pleasure of staying at the beautiful place in Provincetown called the Masthead Resort. It is a series of cute little cottages that sit right on the water. Guests of the inn can sit and enjoy the water views under bright blue umbrellas on their deck as they sip their favorite beverages. And we did just that!

This past weekend was our annual pilgrimage up to Provincetown at the very tip of Cape Cod to deliver a set of paintings that will be available when the red inn opens on April 24. This painting just screams summer. I love this view of the boats, the monument, and the library from Macmillan pier.

At The End of Commercial Street

 

Commercial Street Trio

This trio sits at the very end of Commercial Street in Provincetown on Cape Cod. The place at the top of the hill is the Lands End Inn and then the Red Inn is across the street on the beachside. The yellow building is a private residence for some lucky people with a prime location. 

We will be heading up to Provincetown this Saturday to drop off this and a collection of other paintings for the Red Inn's opening day next Thursday, April 25.
