Last weekend we were invited to join some friends for a plein air weekend up in Provincetown. The weather was rainy, windy, and cold but we made the best of it. We set up to paint from our friends deck overlooking the harbor on the east end (ok- I cheated a bit and painted just inside the sliding glass doors!) I completed these two paintings above the second was done from a photo I took on our walk that morning to see the whales in Hatches Harbor. So pretty.

Here is Polo in action...

And our friend Trisha finishing up her painting. She has a great technique of using a pencil to draw and dig into the paint that's on the board.

Terry set up precariously on the end of the railing-her palette clamped to the ledge...

Our walk earlier in the day...getting inspired to paint!

And here are our completed pieces. We all thought that they really captured the feel of the cold, rainy, and windy day we saw before us.

This looks like it was a fabulous painting weekend, Ann. I love both yours and Polo's paintings. I'd have been behind the sliders too.

Gros bisous ♡
